”Freak Maps are the best maps I have found for hiking in the Sooke hills.  Harbourview is a new park and the maps available through CRD are too small and not complete enough to follow with confidence.  The Freak maps are beautifully drawn, clearly defined and allow the biker or hiker to feel secure, that s/he will not get lost or led astray on unknown rails.  Other bikers use these maps and it was a biker in the park who suggested freakmaps.com.  This recommendation was highly appreciated because now, I and my fellow explorers of Harbourview, Charter’s Creek, Todd Creek up to Grassie Lake will have good maps that will allow accurate timing for a day’s outing and confidence that we will find and return safely from the places we have heard of but not been able to find yet.  Thanks for your great maps.”

“Hey there,
I just wanted to drop an e-mail saying thank you for creating the Mountain Bike Vancouver Island trail guide!!! This thing is seriously excellent!  It’s about time I stop getting hopelessly lost at Tzouhalem.  Worth every penny.  I especially like the suggested rides section.  Awesome work!”

“Hey Daniel,
Can I get 40 more map books. Have you heard of these hotcakes? Your maps are selling like them.”

“We had terrific response to “Mountain Bike Vancouver Island“.

Finally there is a product encompassing all of the mountain bike opportunity on Vancouver Island

The most common comment was ” I had no idea there were this many places to ride! ”

Even the seasoned mountain biker was surprised by the amount and variety of trails on the Island.

This book is a huge encouragement and promotional tool for mountain bike tourism on Vancouver Island.”

“Mountain Bike Vancouver Island ushers in a new era of mountain biking on Vancouver Island, where the riders and builders here open our arms to the global mountain bike community and share what we have, which is some of the best mountain bike terrain and trail systems in the world.”

“At Outpost Bikes, we have been eagerly awaiting Dan Cammiades’s latest edition of Mountain Bike Vancouver Island. In fact, from inquires locally and from all over the province, we have several standing pre-orders and a repeat clientele chomping at the bit to get the updated version. With the latest route additions and enhanced trail information, we have promised them they will be impressed. It is the single most useful resource tool we use in our shop to give trail access info and driving directions. We sold out every order of Dan’s books without a hint of it slowing down (sales) and I have guaranteed Dan sales on a number of books for a pre-order. Easy to read, concise and well laid-out, this book is, in our opinion, the best “local knowledge” mountain biking trail guide to date. I will certainly be advertising in it, and I look forward to getting the latest edition on the shelf.

Otherwise, I may have some very disappointed dirt lovers out here…”
